Today I used motion blur in Photoshop to make the basketball player look like he's moving. First I opened it as a smart object. Then I applied a motion blur to it with a distance of 25 px. Then I erased the player to  make the background look blurred with a soft edged brush. I exported it as .psd and a .jpg

15b: Face Painting

Today I put a flag on a face to the give the effect that it's painted on. I changed the blending mode of the flag to hard light. Then I applied a blur to the face and desaturated it. Then I displaced it. I changed the blending mode to hard light and adjusted the opacity to give it more of a realistic look. I then erased the edges to make the flag look like its wrapped around the head. This was all done in Photoshop and I exported it as a .jpg and a .psd.

#13: Mimic of poster

Today I created a poster in Photoshop promoting healthiness. I mimicked the one on Foodbank. First I chose a junk food, lays chips, then i chose a healthy food, grapes. I also created a gradient background of yellow and orange. Then I cut out the chips out and pasted in grapes. I used outer glow in blending options around the bags of chips. I typed the logo of lays and applied a stroke around it. I also applied a stroke around the other texts. I copied the food bank logo on to the poster and applied outer glow. I exported this as a .jpg and .psd.

11: Flier

Today I created a flier for a club using 3 out of the 4 fonts we learned about. I first created a gradient background using linear gradient then stars in the background using diamond gradient. Then I typed out the WHO, WHAT, WHY, AND WHERE. I applied a photofilled text affect to the WHAT. I made the photo in the text stars. Then I applied a glass text effect to the WHY by using the blending options and lowering the opacity. The glass effect gives the text a see through, blurry effect. Then I put a crazy text effect on the WHEN and the WHY by using strokes, blending options and other effects. I also added a sun in the back with a space ship on top of it to go with the theme of astronomy.
